Dr. Katie Nelson is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and will be returning home in 2025 to join us at Riverbark Veterinary Hospital in Spring Lake.
She graduated from Methodist University with a B.S. in Biology in 2016. Throughout her undergraduate education, she worked as a veterinary assistant at Riverbark Veterinary Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She then went on to receive her DVM degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine (Hail State!) in May of 2021. Dr. Katie’s interests include preventative care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and acupuncture.
Dr. Katie enjoys her time outside of the clinic by spending time with her family and pets, hiking in the mountains, and exploring new places.
