Timothy Potter

Dr. Timothy Potter is a native of East Tennessee, in the Knoxville/Oak Ridge area.

He moved to North Carolina eleven years ago and resides in Dunn, NC. He attended East Tennessee State University and graduated with a BS degree in Organic Chemistry. Dr. Potter participated in Army ROTC and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Field Artillery and served for 12 years on active duty.

He then attended the University of Tennessee, where he graduated with a BS degree in Zoology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr Potter has over 31 years of experience in the Veterinary field, with 6 years as a Veterinary Assistant and student, and has practiced as a Companion Animal Veterinarian for 25 years.

His special interests are Internal Medicine, Pain Management, Geriatric Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, and Preventive Medicine Education.

In his free time Dr. Potter enjoys family and pets (3 Terriers/Terrors), guitars, gourmet foods and cooking, motorcycling, fishing and other outdoor activities (the beach!). Dr. Potter is a bit of an adventurer. While involved in Army ROTC he attended US Army Paratrooper Training at Ft. Benning, GA where he jumped out of the very first airplane he ever flew in with a perfectly questionable parachute! He said “It was a blast! So I did it four more times!”
